It started out like any other day, going to this site I have been working and testing my equipment. The plan was to hide silver targets in this area for another to locate. The reason we chose this site is because when it was checked with the LRL500, we did not get a noticeable silver indication. After the silver was hidden, Miguel walks around and says "hey I have a very light signal line here going to the target area." We were testing my new unit I call Earth Field Generator. This unit does not use frequency and is not for sale. It's a real time sample generator. So I checked the line and it was a very weak line. A line I would have ignored. The LRL500 using 156.2hz indicated no silver. This is the frequency I have located silver with in the past. So we thought it was with the target we have been testing on. This target has 3 huge rings, the largest about 300 yards across with IC on. I had to move the generator because this line was near the hidden target line. After I moved the generator the test target was located. We tested a number of times and every unknown silver target was located.

Here's the safe as we found it.
So after we took some GPS readings of the signal lines and rings, Miguel wanted to check and see if we could reach the target area. So we started in the woods with Miguel walking ahead of me. As we neared the area I noticed this safe. I told Miguel, "Hey there's a safe over here". He says I thought it was a ice box. So as we looked at it I decided to turn the thing over and see if there was any information on it.

Pennies pour out the safe.
When I did, we heard that sound of money! Both of looked at each other with eye's wide and our mouths open! Just like in the movies! At first we just looked at the pennies for a second or two and then said "what the hell is this"!

Pennies lined the wall of the safe.

Pennies poured out on the ground. Some still had paper wrap on them!
At that point I told my self and Miguel "never assume that one area contains everything". The safe was in perfect alignment to the area only 12 feet from the area we had been working on and assumed the silver signal was with the other metal. If I had moved the generator we would have known that it was not with the other target! So we removed the pennies and placed them in my truck. We checked the line and it was gone! It now was to the truck. Same weak line as before.

So now when we go to a site, we check for common metals. Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead, Iron and so on. That way we know what's in the area and each metal's location.

This little fellow is our only witness! He had no statement!

This guy was about 8" long. But he was a little red in the face!
This is not the first time I found copper on a silver setting. Strobe tuning may be the reason I did not detect it with the LRL500. But the new unit does not use frequency. The signal line was very weak. The rod barely moved at all. The funny thing is I never checked for copper or any other metals. I have learned something from this day of testing. Check for all common metals. Why? You may miss something. It was a great fine and fun.
